New Delhi: A controversy has emerged after former US President Donald Trump reshared a social media post that reportedly used derogatory language while referring to India and China. The post triggered reactions across diplomatic and political circles.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India responded cautiously to the development, issuing a brief statement and avoiding any detailed comment on the issue. The government indicated that it has taken note of the reports but refrained from escalating the matter diplomatically.
MEA spokesperson said, “We have seen some reports. That is our comment,” reflecting India’s restrained and measured approach to the situation.
According to official sources, India has chosen not to react sharply to the remarks and is instead assessing the matter within diplomatic channels. The government is reportedly focused on maintaining a balanced foreign policy stance and avoiding unnecessary controversy.
The issue surfaced after Trump reshared a post related to immigration policy debates, which included references to India and China in a controversial manner. The post quickly drew international attention and criticism.
So far, India has maintained a calm and cautious posture, signaling its preference to handle the matter diplomatically rather than engage in a public confrontation.
