Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ is now being viewed as a reflection of the country’s new counter-terrorism strategy. The operation sent a clear message that India will no longer hesitate to take firm and decisive action against cross-border terrorism.
The attack in Pahalgam claimed the lives of several innocent people, triggering widespread anger across the country. In the aftermath of the incident, the Central Government held high-level meetings with security agencies and armed forces to review the situation and formulate a response.
As part of this strategy, the Indian Army launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, carrying out precise action against terrorist infrastructure. According to sources, the objective of the operation was to weaken terror networks and send a strong signal that India would not compromise on its national security.
Defence experts believe the operation reflects India’s changing security doctrine. Instead of limiting its response to diplomatic protests after terror incidents, the country is now prepared to adopt direct and effective measures when required.
Experts also noted that ‘Operation Sindoor’ demonstrated the capability of the Indian armed forces to respond to threats through modern technology, accurate planning and coordinated execution.
Government sources stated that the sovereignty of the nation and the safety of its citizens remain the highest priority, and the firm stance against terrorism will continue in the future.
