Tehran: Despite the recent ceasefire in Iran, the Indian government has issued a safety advisory for its citizens in the country. The Indian Embassy has urged all nationals in Iran to leave the country via safe routes as soon as possible.
The embassy specifically warned against approaching international borders without coordination. Citizens have also been advised to stay away from sensitive and military areas.
The advisory emphasizes that nationals should remain at embassy-recommended hotels or safe locations, maintain regular contact, and stay alert to official updates.
This step has been taken by the Indian government to ensure the safety of its citizens in view of rising tensions and security risks in the region.
