Foreign ministers meet at BRICS, China stands with India to combat Covid-19

New Delhi: The Foreign Ministers of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) grouping on Tuesday expressed “grave concern” with regard to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Asserting that Beijing stands with India amid the Covid-19 crisis, Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi said all BRICS member countries including China will provide support and assistance to India as it fights against the second wave of the pandemic.

The meeting was chaired by external affairs minister S Jaishankar through video conferencing.
