New Delhi:In a high-level all-party meeting convened by the central government, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made a significant statement regarding India’s recent military action. He confirmed that “Operation Sindoor” is not yet over and remains an ongoing mission against terrorism emanating from across the border.
Addressing the gathering, Rajnath Singh said:
“In the recent airstrike carried out by the Indian Air Force, at least 100 terrorists have been eliminated.“
He revealed that these airstrikes targeted terror infrastructure located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). According to intelligence reports, 9 major terror camps were destroyed in the strike, and 12 more such camps are still active, which may be targeted in subsequent operations.
Following the meeting, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju reaffirmed the Defence Minister’s statement and said the operation reflects India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
Opposition leaders, too, extended their support to the government. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said:
“In times of national crisis, we stand with the government. There is no room for political division when national security is at stake.“
During the briefing, Rajnath Singh sent a strong message to Pakistan, stating:
“If Pakistan attacks, India will retaliate with full force. We will not sit quietly. The response will be decisive and proportionate.“
The meeting demonstrated a rare moment of political unity, underscoring the shared commitment to defending the nation. As Operation Sindoor progresses, further strategic actions may be expected in the days to come.
