Double Blow to Pakistan: Airstrikes and Rebel Attacks

Desk:Following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, India has adopted an aggressive stance against Pakistan. In a bold move on Tuesday and Wednesday night, the Indian Air Force conducted powerful airstrikes, not only across the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) but also deep inside Pakistan. Reports indicate that nearly 90 terrorists were killed in these operations. Major terror hideouts of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed were destroyed from Muridke to Bahawalpur.

In a significant internal blow to Pakistan, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) carried out a deadly attack in the Bolan Valley. Baloch rebels targeted a military vehicle loaded with Pakistani troops using a remote-controlled bomb. The explosion completely destroyed the vehicle, killing all 12 soldiers onboard.

In a separate incident, Baloch insurgents also targeted Pakistan’s bomb disposal squad with an IED blast, resulting in the death of two more soldiers. Within a single day, a total of 14 Pakistani security personnel were killed in these attacks by Baloch rebels.

The first major strike was executed by the Baloch Liberation Army in the Shorkand region of the Bolan Valley. The targeted vehicle was on a mission, led by Special Operations Commander Tariq Imran. Subedar Umar Farooq was also among those killed in the blast.

These developments have intensified Pakistan’s challenges as it faces mounting pressure both at its borders and within its own territory.
