Desk: In a bold and decisive response to the brutal killing of 26 innocent civilians in the recent Pahalgam terror attack, India has struck back by launching Operation Sindoor late Tuesday night. The Indian Army carried out precision strikes, targeting multiple terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), neutralizing dozens of terrorists and inflicting significant damage on their infrastructure.
While India has given a clear message through this retaliatory operation, Pakistan has once again chosen the path of threats rather than acknowledging its role in sheltering terrorism. Despite mounting evidence, Pakistan continues to deny providing safe haven to terrorists.
Speaking on the situation, Lt. Gen. KJS Dhillon (Retd), former commander of the 15 Corps in Srinagar, emphasized that any future provocation from Pakistan will be met with a response ten times stronger. Lt. Gen. Dhillon, who led the counter-terror operation after the Pulwama attack in February 2019, has extensive experience in dealing with terrorism in Kashmir.
In an interview with ANI, Dhillon said, “Every action against terrorists is taken with careful planning, preparation, and precision. That is how the Indian government and armed forces operate. If Pakistan dares to retaliate, our next strike will be ten times more powerful.”
He also stated that almost every terror attack in the world has some link to Pakistan, and such an irresponsible state must not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. Dhillon cited past inflammatory statements by Pakistani leaders, including one by former minister Sheikh Rasheed, who had shockingly spoken of targeting nuclear weapons in areas where only Hindus would die.
Commenting on these alarming declarations, Dhillon remarked, “If this reflects the level of their thinking, then there’s no point engaging in dialogue with such individuals.”
In light of the recent developments, Lt. Gen. Dhillon urged Indian citizens to remain vigilant. “I appeal to all citizens—if you spot any suspicious individual or object, immediately report it to the authorities,” he said.
Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated significantly following the Pahalgam massacre. India’s forceful retaliation has sent a strong message, but Pakistan’s aggressive posturing and threats of reprisal suggest that the situation remains volatile.
