Operation Sindoor: India Strikes Deep Inside Pakistan in Retaliation to Pahalgam Attack

Desk: In a daring midnight offensive, India’s powerful military launched “Operation Sindoor” at 1:30 AM, penetrating 100 kilometers deep into Pakistan to destroy major terrorist hideouts. This was India’s direct retaliation to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 Indian civilians. In a bold response, the Indian Air Force deployed Rafale fighter jets to target camps belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Retaliation for the Pahalgam Attack

Using precision airstrikes, the Indian Air Force struck training camps of terror groups Markaz-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Shubhanallah, responsible for numerous attacks, including the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks (26/11). According to sources, terror camps located in Bahawalpur, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Gulpur, Bhimber, Sialkot, and Muridke were completely destroyed.

India Reiterates Zero Tolerance Against Terrorism

Following previous operations like the 2016 Surgical Strike and the 2019 Balakot Strike, “Operation Sindoor” showcased the unified power of India’s Army, Navy, and Air Force executing deep-penetration strikes inside Pakistan. Pakistan claimed to have downed two Indian fighter jets post-strike, a claim that India has categorically denied, clarifying that the operation targeted only terrorist infrastructure, not military bases.

Why Operation Sindoor Matters

This marks the first-ever operational deployment of Rafale fighter jets in combat by India. The mission is a historic milestone in India’s military strategy. The technical superiority and pinpoint precision of the Rafale aircraft have significantly enhanced the Indian Air Force’s strike capabilities.

Equipped with real-time targeting, precision-guided munitions, and advanced intelligence-gathering systems, the Rafales played a crucial role in the operation’s success. With this strike, India has once again reinforced its uncompromising stance against terrorism.
