Paris: On the final day of his three-day visit to France, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron held a conversation mid-air. The Indian Foreign Secretary confirmed this, stating that India-France relations have reached new heights. According to reports, Modi and Macron exchanged views on mutual strategic partnerships, global issues, terrorism, Europe, West Asia, and geopolitical developments in the Indo-Pacific region.
Before concluding their visit, the two leaders issued a joint statement reaffirming their shared vision for bilateral cooperation and international partnership. They praised the progress made in their bilateral relations and committed to further strengthening them. The joint statement mentioned that during their talks, the leaders discussed several contentious issues, including the Indo-Pacific region and the Russia-Ukraine war. They also addressed areas of strategic partnership and cooperation in defense, nuclear energy, space, technology, and innovation.
