Desk:Terrorist organizations appear to be joining forces in Jammu and Kashmir, preparing for a new wave of unrest, putting intelligence agencies on high alert. According to intelligence sources, a major event is scheduled to take place in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), where a top Hamas commander will deliver a speech. The event will see the participation of terrorists from Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, with Hamas spokesperson Khaled Qaddoumi addressing the gathering. This development highlights Pakistan’s deep-rooted conspiracy concerning Jammu and Kashmir. Not only are terror outfits like Jaish and Lashkar strengthening their presence on Pakistani soil, but even the Palestinian militant group Hamas is establishing its influence.
According to intelligence agencies, Pakistan aims to internationalize the Kashmir issue through such events. Its strategy is to draw parallels between Palestine and Kashmir, portraying both as regions where Muslims face oppression. Pakistan frequently appeals to the Islamic world for support by emphasizing this similarity. While countries like Turkey and Malaysia have raised concerns about Kashmir at the United Nations, major Islamic nations such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait have largely remained indifferent to Pakistan’s propaganda.
Pakistan observes Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5, using state-sponsored programs to push its propaganda. The upcoming event in PoK, featuring a speech by a Hamas leader, is a part of this narrative.
A crucial aspect of this gathering is that it will be held under the “Al-Aqsa Flood” banner—the same name given to the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led terrorist attack on Israel, which resulted in nearly 700 deaths and the kidnapping of hundreds. Al-Aqsa is a mosque in Jerusalem claimed by both Muslims and Jews. Hosting an event in PoK under this name signals a dangerous intent, as terror groups seek to promote Muslim unity through such narratives.
Pakistan has previously used fake propaganda, misrepresenting images of Israeli airstrikes in Palestine as atrocities in Kashmir. However, these false claims were exposed multiple times. The upcoming event in PoK once again raises concerns over Pakistan’s continued attempts to link the Kashmir issue with global Islamist movements.
