New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a powerful address at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit on Saturday, emphasizing India’s strengthened security measures and its transformative journey. Without naming Pakistan, he stated, “India has changed. Terrorists can no longer feel safe, even in their own homes. This reflects the robust security framework we have built.”
Remembering 26/11 Attacks
Referring to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, PM Modi shared his reflections, “At that time, terrorism posed a massive threat to Indians, and people felt unsafe. Today, the situation is completely different. India has sent a strong message against terrorism, both domestically and globally.”
Focus on Development, Not Vote-Bank Politics
The Prime Minister highlighted his government’s commitment to development while staying away from vote-bank politics. “Our motto is ‘Development by the people, for the people.’ We prioritize public welfare above all,” he said.
Encouraging Risk-Taking Among Youth
PM Modi praised India’s youth for their entrepreneurial spirit. “India now has over 1.25 lakh registered startups. Over the past decade, the willingness to take risks has grown tremendously among young Indians. They are ready to make the nation proud on the global stage,” he remarked.
Swachh Bharat and Employment Generation
Speaking about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, he said, “The toilet construction drive not only improved sanitation but also boosted employment and strengthened the economy. This campaign symbolizes dignity and security.”
Revolution in Gas Connections
The Prime Minister highlighted the success of the LPG gas connection initiative. “In 2014, there were only 14 crore gas connections in the country. Today, this number exceeds 30 crores. Issues like gas shortages are a thing of the past,” he asserted.
PM Modi concluded by reiterating his government’s focus on making India a stronger, self-reliant, and technologically advanced nation. He assured that existing initiatives would be implemented even more effectively in the coming years.
